Rise of the Technology Class

These conversations are between students from Ecuador, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Spain and the US who see technology serving a higher purpose: A counter-culture to their predecessors. This is evidence of a new type of generative class who apply technology to their creativity with art, music, science and involvement within the community. Their activity is transparent and active to our evolving civility. These multinational students are socially conscious storytellers. The Moderator of this conversation, Michael Davis is an Executive MBA graduate of Steinbeis University Germany, The Berlin School of Creative Leadership.

Kaito – Do you forget we are connected?

Untitled-1

Culture. It is a very good word.

Around the world. How many websites you can tell about the culture? Too many. I find a popular site, to share with my friends. It is – J! – ENT for pop culture, fashion, music, talks and entertainment.

It is for all countries. People’s lives and the way we are talking. I have to travel to countries in Europe, America and India.

Today this information = statement of thanks to the computer and I think our precious mobile phone.

I know about the world with a connection to the Internet. If no internet I would not know this place.

Pamela – Exploding Whale

Back in the 1970’s a bizarre but yet fantastic event marked one of  Oregon’s beaches when a gigantic sperm whale corpse washed up in November. In order to get rid of the corpse, Oregon authorities decided to explode it with dynamite. But hey, wouldn’t be better to have buried the corpse instead of blowing it up??

But, as everyone knows, actions always have their consequences.

Samantha- A Little bit about me

Hi, mmm…i know we havent been the oportunity to ge to know eich other as well as we want so, this is a little bit about me.
I grow up in Santiago Papasquiaro, but i was born in Durango, Dgo. Since i was a kid, i liked a lot the music, specially music in english. I also like opera, classical music like Beethoven, Mozart, oh i love Mozart, but most of all, i always like to read. I remember when i took the first book of Harry Potter. I took it from a shelter and i said to my mom buy it to me please. My mom bougth it. And since that moment i start to read like a crazy. Hehe, i know its weird, but, when i have issues or troubles, i like to have an open door to another world, another story.
My favorite author is, definelty, Stephen King. He is for me the best of horror, insanity, dreamscapes and nightmares that keep you up with fear all the night and still then you want more. I ve been read:
Carrie
Pet Sematary
Dreamscapes and nightmares I
Salem’s Lot
It
i know they are not much but i want to extend that list. So you already know a little bit about me in the matter of my passions.

Salvador – A World Change

tecnologia_verde

That´s like a Nikolas_The Flip-Side post comment. Of course. We (young people arround the world) should change the world. We have to eliminate the injustices that there are arround the world, eradicating poverty, ensuring that all we are equal, that people won´t be more rich than other person, no more powerful than other people, no difference between countries, that everyone study on the school. But we must change many things, how we live, think, change the policy, the economy (although that is giving us many problems in all countries of the world, and we continue supporting the economy, I don´t know why) We have to change everything, that not have wars and discrimination, racism or hunger in the world. If we do nothing, we´ll destroy the world. Technology, communication, Internet, media are essential to say to the people “We have to change the world”. It is also necessary to take care of the planet and animals, plants, everything in it, so we need to find a form of development that does not damage the environment, take care, there is a radical change, reinventing everything all the technology and research and create all that we have now but that doesn´t pollute.

Ryan – Calling phobia

The Good ol' Telephone

The Good ol' Telephone

Like millions of others, texting is something that has integrated itself into my daily life and i have no complaints. it’s such a simple form of communication and its a great way to correspond with a lot of people at once. but i think that it is bringing some people apart rather than together. i sometimes get annoyed with people who insist on texting over calling.

“What’s Steve doing?”

“I dunno call him.”

“I’ll text him.”

i realized that i text people so much that it is almost annoying to call someone, or get a call. other than my close friends, when i see an incoming call i almost think, uhh what do they want? something i’ve also realized is that my phone speaking skills have gone down. i get more tongue tied on the phone now than when i was 8. Am i alone on this or do other people feel like the quality of the phone conversation has greatly decreased?

Nicole – mobiles in Ecuador

Its interesting how people in Ecuador are always looking for the latest gadgets. For example,  i’ve heard from one of my teachers that people in Ecuador change their cellphones within a period of three months. is this normal in other places around the world?

please comment..

probably im the exception haha i just got a Blackberry as a birthday present. however i took a picture for you to know how often i change phones haha (im not joking!)
