Rise of the Technology Class
These conversations are between students from Ecuador, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Spain and the US who see technology serving a higher purpose: A counter-culture to their predecessors. This is evidence of a new type of generative class who apply technology to their creativity with art, music, science and involvement within the community. Their activity is transparent and active to our evolving civility. These multinational students are socially conscious storytellers. Translation to english: La Mujer de Pedro Armengol was pierced with confidence. Decided to save his people with a clever ruse. Wear clothes made by two young daughters and Ruidoms Juan de Arnúm, and with them and her husband was in the citadel, the guards had their throats cut in the highest secrecy.
Armengol, wielding guns and fight like a man made wonders of value. The tower was crowned with a tribute to the cross in its highest battlements. The death of the warden, the fall of the castle in the hands of Christians and the news that the army was approaching the king savior Don Jaime Mudéjar prevented from implementing its planned slaughter.
Continuing the tradition established within the vicinity of Orihuela, the feast of the liberation of the city from the hands of Muslims is commemorated on July 17.

Today i want to talk about a very important person who was an artist and who was also from Santiago Papasquiaro Durango. His name is Silvestre Revueltas Sánchez, better known as “Silvestre Revueltas”.

He was born in Santiago Papasquiaro Durango, on December the 31st of 1899. He was a composer, musician, violinist and an orchest director. Revueltas is the greatest mexican composer. The oldest son of a family who had very important artist for mexican culture.
When he was young he went to study to the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica in Mexico. His music was very important around the world like Adagio, Danza geométrica, and others. He was inspired by the music of Claude Debussy. Silvestre traveled around the world and he lived in USA for a long time. But he died in Mexico city in October 5th of 1940.
On my opinion he was the best composer of America, when i hear his music, its like been in another time, so romantic, and strong at the same time, its something different, and most important of all is the fact that he is part of me and part of all the Santiago People. You shoul listen his music, i think you would like it.
Michael – “Iran, the cell phone revolution”

As the world watches and listens to historic change in Iran, I wonder if the protesters really know how far their media has traveled. Their access to the internet is blocked. Only a few foreign journalists have been allowed to stay and reporting is limited. The images of young people banded together for a common cause are quite compelling.
For some of the authors on this blog, this is the first massive movement of activism you have noticed with global impact.
“You” emerged more than a few years ago as the hero for Time Magazine’s person of the year. (2006) Citizen journalism or “participatory journalism” is not necessarily new by technology timelines.
The dramatic footage sent by mostly young people from Iran tell a story deeper than civil protest. There is no violence in this movie file. Turn up the volume. Listen to the story. This is one long continuous shot from a mobile phone, traveling along the street during protest. It is about technology. It is their primary link to the outside world for expression. These are authentic stories that have crossed all channels and platforms using all types of media.

Ryan – Calling phobia
June 10, 2009 at 7:54 pm · Filed under Authors and tagged: conversation, culture, friends, liberating, phone, texting
Like millions of others, texting is something that has integrated itself into my daily life and i have no complaints. it’s such a simple form of communication and its a great way to correspond with a lot of people at once. but i think that it is bringing some people apart rather than together. i sometimes get annoyed with people who insist on texting over calling.
“What’s Steve doing?”
“I dunno call him.”
“I’ll text him.”
i realized that i text people so much that it is almost annoying to call someone, or get a call. other than my close friends, when i see an incoming call i almost think, uhh what do they want? something i’ve also realized is that my phone speaking skills have gone down. i get more tongue tied on the phone now than when i was 8. Am i alone on this or do other people feel like the quality of the phone conversation has greatly decreased?

To me technology is bitter sweet. It has allowed for great success and has made life easier. On the flip side it has also consumed peoples lives and has, in some ways, made us lazy as a society. I have seen people go crazy without their cell phones and feel like they are missing out on something big whenever they do not have it. Whenever I don’t have my cell phone it is a very liberating feeling and Im not checking something every five minutes. So I love technology and the doors it opens, but I try not to depend on it too much.
