TVs are smaller, the smallest cell phones, digital integrated video cameras. How small can we go?

With all the advances in science, are we at the end of small? Netbook laptops the size of a book or less. 50 years ago a computer utilized the space of an entire room for tape drives and memory units the size of a car.

I can not imagine a smaller mobile device than those that now exist or smaller computers. Is technology serving a higher purpose at this point?
